Welcome to 2016 and we hope it’s the beginning of a GREAT new year for everyone and their families. Here is a Beautiful quilt to start off a new year of wonderful quilts made by our clients/friends. This one was lovingly made by Rita and this is what she had to say about it.
This is a Fons and Porter Pattern called Moonlight Bay using Batik fabrics. Yes, it is as vibrant in person as pictured. When I saw this quilt demonstrated on their Love of Quilting PBS show, I immediately knew that I had to sew, and it would be a Christmas present for my Sister. I am so excited to see her surprise when she opens the box.
The quilt took me a month to create the top. Julie and Paul (J & P Quilters) provided their magic and finished the quilting.
After quilting for 30 plus years, I have been rejuvenated to create more quilts each year, and this is due to the wonderful long arm quilting by Julie and Paul. Thank you for all your support.
Time to start planning my 2016 quilts.
This Quilt measures 60″ x 83″ and Hobbs 80/20 batting was sandwiched in between. Omni Winter Green thread was used to create Free Swirls pattern by Janice Bahrt, Wee Bee Quilting.
