Our Quilt of the Month for June is another of several unique quilts expertly sewn by one of our clients, Pat. She made this wonderful “Happy Birthday” quilt for her granddaughter.
“This cute quilt pattern was found totally by accident when I was looking for a pattern by Sandy Petsche. My granddaughter whose fifth birthday was less than weeks away and loves the quilts and things I make for her.
This pattern was downloaded from Sandy Petsche’s site and in my hands within minutes. Next step was off to my stash and choosing my colors which is always fun. The background was the only piece purchased. This is a totally stash friendly project.
This pattern was definitely an easy project but it was also fun to construct. With the help of “J & P Quilters“, I was able to complete this project in time for my granddaughter’s birthday.”
This quilt measures approx 48″ x 50″ and was quilted using Cairo variegated thread by King Tut with a Cupcake edge-to-edge pattern from Debra Geissler’s Patterns by Deb (www.debrageissler.com). The batting was Hobbs 80/20 cotton/polyester batting, which we provide if our customers want it.
