Here is another beautiful Christmas quilt made by Maxine, one of our long time clients. And this shows us to never give up on your unfinished projects.
Maxine said she started this quilt project 5 years ago at a quilting retreat in Idaho. It was a kit called Peaks Perfection she bought that was featured on during the 2008 So. Calif Quilt Run in the Orange County area. The finished product was smaller than she wanted so she added several more borders. The fabric was purchased from stores here and there, wherever she saw fabric that would look good on the quilt. She was finally able finish the quilt when her daughter talked her into signing up for a quilting class at Orange Quilt Bee on Katella in Orange, Ca.
The quilt measures 96″ x 105″ Hobbs 80/20 batting was used in the middle. It was quilted using Perma Core’s Honey thread in a Christmas Holly E2E pattern from the collection of Kim Diamond.
