Sunflower Quilt
This beautiful Sunflower quilt was exquisitely made by Tori. It is a Turning Twenty Around The Block kit that was purchased at Creations in Kerrville, TX. The kit included: Turning Twenty Around the Block book, pattern by Tricia Cribbs, Focus Fabric (Sunflowers) and Fat Quarters for other fabrics and binding. Backing fabric was chosen separately.
“What attracted me most to this quilt were the beautiful sunflowers featured in the blocks and the warm orange and brown tones throughout. It has a mixture of regular cotton fabrics and batiks which adds even more interest to the quilt. I love the mixture of more traditional-looking fabrics with contemporary ones, some of which have metallic components.
And the back of the quilt is as interesting as the front since the combination of the backing fabric color and thread color really makes the quilting pattern stand out.”
Quilting was completed by Julie using the Sunflower 2 pattern from Designs By Deb by Debra Geissler with Permacore Fox thread. The quilt measures 84.5 X 70 and the batting was Hobbs 80/20. This is just one of many beautiful quilts we have had the pleasure and honor to quilt for Tori.
